Results of Working Group Meeting on Activities of Accredited CABs in Conformity Assessment of Construction Materials, Articles and Structures

The meeting of the working group on activities of accredited CABs in conformity assessment of construction materials, articles and structures of the RusAccreditation Public Council chaired by Elena Fadeeva took place December 20. More than 30 people participated in the event including representatives of the Service, National Institute for Accreditation of RusAccreditation, scientific and expert community, accredited bodies, associations and enterprises of the industry.

One of the key issues in the meeting agenda concerned technical regulation in the sphere of construction materials and articles production and in particular establishing the relevant technical regulation.

Another important topic of the agenda dealt with implementing the mechanism of a “regulatory guillotine” which provides for an extensive analysis and revision of the existing legislative acts starting from January 1, 2021.  

Issues regarding the peculiarities of various construction materials confirmation of conformity by the example of sealants were also reviewed during the meeting.
