First Meeting of Working Group on Activities of Accredited CABs in Conformity Assessment of Railway Transport Products

The meeting of the working group on activities of accredited CABs in conformity assessment of railway transport products of the RusAccreditation Public Council took place January 24. More than 40 people participated in the event including Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation – Head of RusAccreditation Alexey Khersontsev, representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, RusAccreditation, OJSC “Russian Railways”, scientific and expert community, accredited bodies, associations and enterprises of the industry, National Institute for Accreditation of RusAccreditation. The working group composition and the work plan for 2020 were presented at the meeting.

Alexey Khersontsev commented on the most relevant issues included in the agenda in the sphere of accreditation and technical regulation as concerns railway transport.   

The Head of the Service suggested that members of the working group use the RusAccreditation electronic platform for organizing cooperation and for ProFSA internal and external communications.    

During the session a discussion was held between the experts about the provisions of the Government Decree of the Russian Federation dated September 12, 2019, No. 1236 and about the published on the RusAccreditation website datasheet on compliance of accredited in the national accreditation system CABs with the requirements of the abovementioned Decree.
