Acting head of RusAccreditation Department for North-West Federal District takes part in meetings on procedure for independent declaration of conformity

On February 19, the Acting Head of the RusAccreditation Department for the North-West Federal District Alexander Zaitsev took part in the seminar “Individual declaration. Theory and practice. Current issues of confirmation of conformity of products during declaration”, which was held in the Leningrad Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event was attended by about 50 representatives of product manufacturers, importers, certification bodies.

Alexander Zaitsev told the seminar participants about the possibilities of an electronic Service for registering declarations of conformity, provided statistics on its use by market participants, announced the holding of the seminars  on individual registration of declarations of conformity by the  National Institute for Accreditation of RusAccreditation  (NIAR), answered questions about recent changes in regulatory legal acts in the field of accreditation.

On February 20, Alexander Zaitsev took part in a meeting with members of the St. Petersburg branch of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia on the individual registration of declarations of conformity, as well as discussed the application of the technical regulation requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union "On the limitation of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products" (TR EAEU 037/2016).
