The State Duma adopted in the first reading amendments to the legislation on urgent measures aimed at ensuring sustainable economic development and preventing the consequences of the spread of COVID – 19.

On May 12, at a meeting of the State Duma, a draft of the federal law prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia with the participation of 13 departments was approved in the first reading, which provides for amendments to a number of laws to take urgent measures aimed at ensuring sustainable economic development and preventing the consequences of the spread of coronavirus.

The document, in particular, proposes:

  • extension of the validity of the results of a special assessment of working conditions, which expires between April and September 2020;
  • extension of the validity of expert certificates for the right to perform work on a special assessment of working conditions issued from April 20, 2015 to September 20, 2015;
  • extending the period of training on labor protection or testing knowledge of labor protection requirements for employees of organizations, which expires from April to September 2020.

In addition, the bill provides that the Government of the Russian Federation has the right to establish the features of the organization of the provision of public services, “bearing in mind their remote provision”.
