The results of the working group meeting on the activities of accredited CABs in the field of conformity assessment of wheeled vehicles

On September 11, there took place the working group meeting on the activities of accredited CABs in the field of conformity assessment of wheeled vehicles under the RusAccreditation Public Council chaired by the President of the Association of Automotive Engineers (AAE) Denis Zagarin. The meeting was attended by more than 20 people, including representatives of the Service, the National Institute for Accreditation of RusAccreditation (NIAR), the Main Directorate for Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the scientific and expert community and accredited organizations.

The main issue on the agenda of the meeting was the entry into force of GOST 33670-2015 "Single road vehicles. Examination and test methods for conformity assessment". The meeting participants supported the proposal for the early application of GOST 33670-2015 in terms of the possibility of assessing single vehicles. At the same time, the members of the working group noted the need to revise certain provisions of GOST, for example, in terms of the mechanism of photo and video recording, as well as in the preparation of separate test reports for each investigated property.

The meeting also included a presentation of the technical capabilities and equipment of testing laboratories operating within the framework of GOST 33670-2015.
