On October 23, in the videoconference mode, a meeting of the working group on the activities of accredited CABs in the field of conformity assessment of aluminum products was held under the RusAccreditation Public Council chaired by the head of the direction for technical regulation and interaction with government agencies of the Aluminum Association Alexey Efimov. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Service, scientific and expert communities, accredited organizations.
The key topic of discussion was the monitoring of the declaration of conformity of aluminum cooking utensils. Alexey Efimovreminded that the goal of the working group was to control safety in the field of conformity assessment of aluminum cooking utensils, creating equal conditions for all market participants, bringing the work of all certification bodies to uniformity. "To achieve these goals, the working group considers the adopted declarations of conformity for compliance with all the requirements of the legislation", - said the head of the working group.
The report of Alexander Sheremetyev, Chairman of Technical Committee 147 on Standardization, "Coated and uncoated metal dishware" on updating the mandatory requirements for dishes made of aluminum was also heard at the meeting. The head of the committee spoke in detail about the revision of the standards for cast utensils made of aluminum alloys and stamped from aluminum sheet with non-stick coating and without coating.
