From January 1, 2021, all materials on certificates of conformity will be transferred to electronic form

On November 18, the Government of the Russian Federation, as part of the implementation of the "regulatory guillotine" mechanism, adopted Order No. 1856 "About procedure for forming and maintaining the unified register of certificates of conformity, the provisions containing in the specified register of data and payments for provision of such data" (hereinafter - the Order), developed by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia with the participation of RusAccreditation.

The Order provides for the creation of a unified electronic register of certificates of conformity from January 1, 2021. The procedure for the formation and maintenance of the register involves the digitization of information and documents necessary for the issuance of certificates of conformity, and their signing in electronic form through an automated service. The entry of information and control over its content will be implemented automatically. Such measures will improve the quality of information entered into the register and track the certification procedures carried out.

The document also provides for the entry into the register of information on the certification body's periodic inspection control over certified products. This measure will allow to promptly identify certification bodies that violate the established certification procedures, as well as products which safety has not been confirmed in the prescribed manner.
