Nazariy Skrypnik: increasing the availability of services for citizens and business is part of RusAccreditation strategy for the digitalization of public services

24 November 2020

On November 20, Head of RusAccreditation Nazariy Skrypnik took part in a plenary discussion on technical regulation, standardization, and conformity assessment of goods for children of the XI Congress of the Children’s Goods Industry "Sustainable development in the interests of childhood." The Congress was organized by the Association of Children’s Goods Industry Enterprises (ACGI). The key point of the speech by the head of the national accreditation body was topical issues of conformity assessment in this area.

Nazariy Skrypnik stressed that the issues of assessing the conformity of goods for children with safety requirements were under special control of RusAccreditation. To increase control in this area, the Service has established an exchange of information with ACGI, as well as with other concerned departments and organizations, including statistics on the testing of children's goods, their certification and declaration.

RusAccreditation considers it necessary to provide quick and convenient access to the registers of certificates and declarations for citizens and business representatives, including participants in the contract system. The service has opened a digital platform safety.fsa.gov.ru, which allows to track the availability of certificates and declarations for a particular product. Increasing the availability of services for users is part of RusAccreditation strategy for the digitalization of public services. When goods are delivered, a certificate or declaration is enclosed in a package of documents in a paper format. The information in a paper document is valid only as of the date of issue. This information may change over time. Checking information in electronic registers online allows to get up-to-date information about each document: expiration, suspension or termination of its validity.
