On the implementation of the project for the examination of the results of the execution of state and municipal contracts at the XI Congress of the Children’s Goods Industry

On November 20, Deputy Director General of the National Institute for Accreditation of RusAccreditation (NIAR) Lydia Travkina reported on the progress of the project on the examination of goods as part of the implementation of state and municipal contacts at the practical session "Conformity assessment of the safety of products for children in the framework of public procurement" at the Congress of the Children’s Goods Industry.

The project is being implemented in 2020-2021 with the support of RusAccreditation and NIAR in 11 regions of Russia to prepare for the implementation into practice of independent examination of goods, works, services as part of the execution of state and municipal contracts in the form of conformity assessment carried out by the inspection bodies. Among the types of products that have been selected for the implementation of the pilot project are children's goods.

With the participation of the Association of Children’s Goods Industry Enterprises there were determined the groups of goods that were most often purchased under state and municipal contracts. Currently, a pool of socially significant objects is being determined, where the examination of goods for specific purchases will be carried out.

Lydia Travkina noted that based on the results of the project there should have been determined the effectiveness and efficiency of the examination carried out by the inspection bodies, as well as its economic feasibility for a customer. There will also be formulated proposals to improve the legislation of the Russian Federation on the contract system in the field of procurement of goods, works, services to meet state and municipal needs.
