The FAN correspondent reports that Nazariy Skripnik, the Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation, said at the All-Russian Forum of Accredited Persons that RusAccreditation offers online trading platforms to place the details of the conformity certificate and the conformity declaration in the product description.
The work on certification of goods can become a promising direction for accredited CABs-laboratories and centers authorized by RusAccreditation to check the compliance of goods or objects with the necessary standards.
"It is difficult today to imagine a product that can not be purchased via the Internet," the head of the Department said in his speech.
At the same time, he agreed that many of the products posted on the websites did not pass the conformity assessment and did not have the necessary certificates or declarations.
"Now we are negotiating with the sites about the automatic indication of the certificate number and its details. For accredited individuals, this is a fairly large development area. This will lead to the withdrawal of a number of goods from the "shadow economy " in the field of conformity assessment" Skrypnik said.
The head of RusAccreditation summed up the results of the year since the beginning of the pandemic. He noted that the forced restrictions were an impulse for the accelerated implementation of processes digitalization in the work of the Department. More than 3,200 video conferences on conformity assessment were held instead of visiting specialists. According to Nazariy Skripnik, the terms of providing public services were reduced by 50%, and the cost was reduced by 30% due to the cancellation of visits.
The All-Russian Forum of Accredited CABs is holding annually for representatives of the National accreditation system. This year, for the first time, it was organized in an online format. Within the frames of the event, the participants discuss relevant issues of the development of the economy of trust, normative regulation in the field of conformity assessment and accreditation and other topics.
