Companies reduced the costs associated with the accreditation procedure by 30% in 2020 – Ministry of Economic Development

MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. Companies have reduced the costs associated with the accreditation procedure by 30% in 2020, said Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economic Development Alexey Khersontsev during the All-Russian Forum of Accredited CABs.

"Last year, 84% of our retreat testing events were held remotely. If we talk about reducing the costs of economic entities, RusAccreditation estimates that the costs associated with the accreditation procedure and confirmation of the competence of the extension in the accreditation field have been reduced by 30%," he said.

According to Mr. Khersontsev, the authorities also minimized personal interaction with the applicants, in particular, about 3 thousand meetings on 1 thousand public services were held in the video conference format.

Moreover, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the RusAccreditation, expanded recommendations were developed on temporary measures for conducting inspection control, sampling within the bounds of product certification taking into account the complex epidemiological situation.

At the end of the January, the government of the Russian Federation extended the validity of licenses for entrepreneurs for a year. In 2021, permits were extended in socially significant areas, including such areas as medical, pharmaceutical, educational activities, environmental protection, labor protection and others. It also provides for the right of authorities to make decisions in 2021 on the use of remote means of control when obtaining, reissuing, and renewing permits.

Earlier, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill aimed at further digitalization of the National accreditation system. The draft law was developed by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation as part of the implementation of the "regulatory guillotine" mechanism.
